Payroll and HRIS Executive
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and prestigious business school as Payroll and HRIS Executive in a hybrid role on a contract basis. Within the role you will provide a comprehensive Payroll, Benefits and HRIS Service to Academic and Professional Services staff and work alongside the Senior HR Manager. The successful candidate will have 3 years’ experience within payroll, pensions, compensation and benefits to fulfil the role of Payroll and HRIS Executive.

Responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of payroll using ADP and submissions of pension contributions
- Administer the employee’s full life cycle, including processing starters/leavers on ADP, maternity and paternity leave arrangements
- To ensure changes in individual remuneration are implemented and correct payments are made in compliance with all statutory requirements of PAYE and pension schemes
- Administer all leave and benefits, including sickness, annual leave, pensions, BUPA, and death in service in accordance with data protection regulations
- To answer employees’ payroll queries and deal with HMRC correspondence enquiries
- Responsible for calculating deductions, contractual changes and bonuses
- Issuing theP45s,P11dsandP60s
- To produce monthly reports for the finance department as appropriate
- Being the Key Contact with our payroll software provider and managing and maintaining payroll mailboxes
- To help implement HR working practices, policies, procedures and processes and assist HR activities such as recruitment, appraisal process and training needs with the support of the HR team
- To be responsible for the preparation reports for Trustee meetings and committees
- To raise POs for expenses and invoices and liaise with the Finance department
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 3 years’ experience within payroll, pensions, compensation and benefits
- A proven track record in a payroll post in a SME organisation who has experienced end to end involvement in payroll administration
- A detailed knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, national insurance and statutory payments rules and of salary sacrifice schemes
- A full understanding of the auto enrolment process, data protection and privacy rules
- Knowledge and previous use of HR Systems and administrator experience
- Able to manage projects relating to own area of work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent IT skills and ability to interpret and to reconcile complex financial data from a variety of sources such as Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivated, dynamic individual with a flexible approach to work
- Able to prioritise workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results and deliverables within fixed timescales
