Compliance Officer
A specialist recruitment company within the education sector is looking for a Compliance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be carrying out compliance and vetting checks on all registered candidates and providing administrative and general support within the role as Compliance Officer. Our client is looking for a Compliance Officer with great communication skills who is able to work independently but also part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring checks are performed on qualifications, Teacher Reference Numbers, ID documents and the applicant’s visa status
- Assisting candidates in applying for DBS police checks and applying for, and chasing references
- Ensuring the full process of checking and vetting documents is completed in a timely manner
- Confirming teacher bookings ensuring candidates have received relevant documentation and a confirmation email
- Meeting, greeting and going thorough all documents with candidates to ensure they will be ready for work as quickly as possible
- Ensuring data is entered accurately into candidate's files, and that they are kept as up-to-date as possible
- Scanning and organising documents and files
- Attending regular meetings with the Secondary Recruitment Team and the Compliance Manager and Director of Operations
- Assist with general telephone enquiries and timesheet and payroll enquiries and payroll
- Provide ad hoc support as required
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Need to work equally well as part of a team, but also under their own volition
- Be able to work efficiently, and have a high level of organisation
- Work to a high standard of accuracy
- Be personable and be able to confidently communicate with all members of the company
- Not be afraid of the telephone
